Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy with Anne Hebbron

An extremely gentle and relaxing therapy that facilitates the body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself.

CST is especially helpful for symptoms such as anxiety, depression, digestive disorders, migraine, high blood pressure, tinnitus, chronic fatigue and insomnia. It can also alleviate pain and promote healing following surgery and injuries such as whiplash, back strain and frozen shoulder.

Birth trauma may manifest many years later, either as physical or emotional issues, especially during periods of stress.  CST can help to alleviate the symptoms and resolve the underlying trauma.

Women find CST soothing for hormonal difficulties such as PMT, during pregnancy and around the time of menopause.

Dental work can cause TMJ alignment issues and stresses throughout the body that CST can address.

What to expect during a consultation

Your therapist will take a written case history, listening with care to the reasons for your visit. The therapist will then make light contact with your head, the base of your spine and other areas, encouraging your body to relax and to begin to make the changes it needs. Because the body functions as a whole, there may be focus on areas other than where the symptoms occur. You remain clothed and will usually lie face up or on your side.

After a session there is occasionally a short period of adjustment as part of the healing process, where you may become more aware of symptoms. Sometimes people report relief after only one or two sessions. For long-standing problems further sessions may be needed.
