Stomach acid supports the immune system.
You have an acid barrier in the stomach which during normal states of health quickly kills bacteria and other bugs that enter the body. It also prevents bacteria in the intestines from migrating up and colonising the stomach

Correct levels of stomach acid are needed to adequately absorb many nutrients including calcium,folic acid vitamin B12, and proteins plus minerals iron, copper & zinc.

After eating a meal, do you experience any of the following symptoms?

A weighted feeling in your stomach?
Several burps shortly after finishing your finishing your meal?
Experience gas 1-2 hours after eating?
Do you get bloated after eating that lasts for a few hours?

These symptoms may mean you have low stomach acid or another health issue. If you do have these symptoms it is important that you book to see your G.P.
Avoid overeating.
Chew foods thoroughly to stimulate digestive enzymes in the mouth, and to break up foods into the smallest particles possible.
Eat sauerkraut.
Drink ginger to increase production of HCL
Eliminate food/fluid intolerances /sensitivities.
Take 1TBS of apple cider vinegar and 1TBS of freshly squeezed lemon in water 2-3 times a week and not near bring your teeth.
